At the time I purchased my first aerogarden I was living in a rented house. It was great to be able to grow some herbs in my kitchen especially since I could not grow any outdoors.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I love using fresh herbs, but I don't cook enough to use the ones from the grocery story before they go bad. My AeroGarden has solved that dilemma, as the herbs stay fresh while they're still growing! And they grow fast. I'm going to have to think of more uses for basil, because I certainly have a lot of it now.

I use my AeroGarden to grow vegetables for my vegetarian husband and myself. It was easy to set up and the pods grow quickly. I do not forget to water or give nutrients because the AeroGarden reminds me and does it for me. It is a fantastic product and grows enough produce for two people to eat every three days. I am beyond happy!

I will mainly use it to grow flowers but am in the process now of harvesting from the herb garden (pods came with my purchase) and I have just loved watching it grow (I think I looked at it every hour just to see if it had grown more). The herbs grew grew quickly, everything except parsley which never grew at all (but that's allright)and I am enjoying giving fresh herbs to my neighbor, who is a chef. My next crop will be flowers but I may buy another garden to try some veggies. I just love the garden, it looks great in my room.

I have owned my Aero Garden for more than a year. The product works well; however the light is intrusive in the evening. Replacement seed pods are a bit expensive and, while I submitted coupons for discounts that came with the Aero Garden when first purchased, I never recieved them.

I use it to grow lettuce during the winter, and to start my seeds for the garden in the spring. So easy to use, and doesn't take up a lot of space. I even use it to keep my tropicals alive for the winter by putting them nearby.
I just bought a second one for herbs, and hope to get a third soon with the wall shelf!
For the eco-minded, there's no need for pesticides, and no fertilizers released into the environment!

I've had an AeroGarden for about 1 1/2 years and really love it. This one was a gift for my daughter and she agrees with me. They are wonderful for growing fresh herbs and I love the salsa seed kit. We are both saving for the 3 shelf kit and 2 more AeroGardens so we can have herbs and tomatoes all the time and the 3rd garden for whatever else we want!

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I considered buying an AreoGarden for years before I actually purchased one. After one AreoGarden I was hooked. Two years later I just bought my third for personal use. I have also bought several as gifts. I recently purchased the tower so now I have three gardens going, salsa, herbs and salad greens. It is great to watch the progress and then enjoy the harvest. Easy to use and set up, it really beats a "real" garden outdoors. My first outdoor garden was destroyed by a hail storm--AeroGarden has no such problem. It is important to change the grow lights on a regular basis--six months is the life expectancy. I did not know that until I bought my second garden. The Garden really works. Fresh herbs add a bang to any dish.

Not only is this a great way to have fresh herbs year round, it is so fun! Watching the little seeds sprouting, and then watching them grow at a close range. I have been gardening since childhood, and this beats a long cold freezing winter. In fact I love it so much I am buying one for my Mom & the in-laws who live in Vermont. The only down side is it is a little costly.

Only have had my AeroGarden for a little over 2 weeks, but am really loving it so far!I live in a place with a short outdoor growing season, so being able to have fresh herbs (and veggies too!) in the dead of winter is a definite plus in my book! Store tomatoes are gross and tasteless. I already started my herbs in the AeroGarden I got for my birthday-already purchased a second one so I can grow tomatoes too!

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I have 2 of the originals, bought 3 space savers for my grown kids and brother and just purchased the deluxe for myself for veggie growing. Super easy to set up and use. I had problems with the water indicator light sticking...so I ran dry without knowing it...as a result I fried my pump...the company was great and sent me a new pump and indicator part no charge. I wouldn't bother with the cherry tomatoes unless you have an extended hood. The grow lights dim after 6 months or so...I didn't realize it until I got a new unit and saw the difference...so if you're not getting good results it may be the lights need changing. I'm not a fan of mixed crops as some seeds take off sooner and bully out the other plants (like basil). I loved the hot pepper crop, even with the basil which I started later. All the lettuce crops grow great and my favorite is the romaine. You need to continuously prune the larger plants in the mixed crops...actually I find pruning all but the lettuces necessary. If you don't used distilled water you should check your water supply regularly and dont depend on the indicator light as deposits can build up and freeze the indicator sleeve inside. All in all it's a great unit[...]. Highly recommended.

I had more herbs than I could use, and there was no fuss. My favorite was the tons of basil that grew, so much I had to share with the neighbors. We all loved it! The chives, dill... were almost just a bonus that's how much we loved the basil. Always fresh and it grew so well and bushy! i would buy this over and over.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

Central Minnesota is very cold, and fresh herbs are expensive when they are available. I got this as a gift, and I began my herbs right after the holiday season. I had fresh herbs for cooking and salads all spring. I have reordered, but my mix was a little different; chives grow well in a pot in a window, and dill is a bit too tall. Dried dill and thyme are very good, so I ordered lots of basil, calantro, and Italian parsley for my salads and cooking this spring.

I love my herb garden. The fresh herbs make everything taste better. The footprint is so small it fits perfectly on the "Solid Wood Garden Stand" and does not interfer with traffic flow and prep space. I am now on my second crop. The cleaning and disinfecting process was very easy and took less than an hour from start to finish (including setting up the new crop). I did have some difficulty removing the pump for cleaning but next time should be easier. I am getting the "VeggiePro" for Christmas and can not wait increase my indoor garden.

I set up the Aerogarden and planted the salad greens without any problem. The greens began to sprout within a day and within three weeks we were eating salad from the Aerogarden. After five weeks, the greens are thick and lush, and you can actually see how much they grow each day. I have had to raise the light a couple of times. We use them in salads and sandwiches. Best of all, we have it set up on our kitchen island, visible from the dining area, where it is convenient to the kitchen and doubles as a beautiful and unique element for the diningroom. When the greens are gone, we will plant herbs.

My husband and I save so much money using our Aerogarden to grow our own herbs. I have to give them away to co-workers because they are so plentiful. They look forward to the days I bring in some for them. They always wonder exactly what is the the bowl that day.

Oh, we have a seven pod. Good luck keeping up with the growth.

It is a great conversation piece as well. People who visit for the first time always ask what's up with that? It is a lot of fun.

I know kids would love it too.

I set up the AeroGarden in no time at at for my sweetie, Kate the Cook. The basil was first to pop up elating us. The other herbs were late to show (or never appeared.)Kate loves the look of the AeroGarden and the basil, but wishes to see all of the herbs growing together.
However, when Kate notified AeroGarden the consultant agreed to send us replacement seeds and nutrients, and also gave us a gardening tip to keep the soil nutrients in the refrigerator
for better response. My advice is to buy the product(s)directly from AeroGarden.

Herbs are not cheap, but readily available at the supermarket. So, why would anyone want to grow his/her own herbs? You just have to taste the difference -- in your food preparation, in your cooking, in your dining. Plus there's the satisfaction of growing and harvesting your own food. It is a bit of a nuisance setting up or cleaning for successive harvests -- but it's still well worth it.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I received the Aerogarden for a mother's day gift and was worried to say the least. Unfortunately I have a brown thumb and kill just about every plant that has the misfortune of finding it's way into my home. My husband got this for me because it was supposed to be easy to use and thought I could "handle" it. I was skeptical at best but the kids and I had fun putting it together. Lo and behold.....it started to grow! I was so excited and now have huge, green, lush herb garden right in my kitchen! My spaghetti has never received such great reviews and my neighbors come over to borrow fresh herbs. I am thoroughly impressed with this product and rave about it to anyone who will listen. I highly recommend the Aerogarden to anyone wanting the ease and convenience of indoor growing.

This is a great product we love it. We bought the classic at a local store. We loved it so much we went back and bought the last 3 they had bringing our total to 4 (four) of the aero garden classics. We have stated alot of our garden plants in it. We have also grown herbs, tomatos, Peppers, Onions, And several other vegatables. There dosent seem to be much that you cant grow. We also recently got an aero garden 3 in black. For the office.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I've had mine for two years this Christmas and love it. I bought the 3 pod flower series for both my mother and mother-in-law who now are hooked just like I am. I've tried seed kits from the nursery and not had success but this is easy, fast and fun. I would recommend this product to anyone. My son loves to water and watch the plants grow, my husband loves to use the herbs, it's an all around family friendly product.

We're going to buy two more and get the wall unit so we can grow different things at one time, if I had the time to water all of them I would buy one of each and have them all over the house!

There is only one tiny little issue I've run into. We live in the desert where it's dry, between evaporation and it's standard performance the water needed to be topped off quite often. We had a problem when we traveled for more than a couple days, it ran out of water and burned out the pump. We'll have it watered by whoever is watering our yard if we go again!

I have two of these in my kitchen, one with herbs, the other with salad greens. Life is great!

Plus I have an AeroGarden 3 with flowers in my front room. Most of my friends have purchased their own AeroGarden after seeing the ones I have. We all love our AeroGardens! They are easy to use with minimal maintenance (add water or pellets when the lights turn on, lol.) They are a no brainer!

Plus I have mine set up so they shut off about midnight and it makes a great night, lol.

I have had this garden for almost a year now, and absolutely adore it. I have never had such an easy time keeping fresh herbs easily accessible and so tasty. Just recently we have added three more aerogardens of various sizes to our household, and are enjoying the addition of larger vegetables and flowers, but I still love my classic and have never had anything more than light routine maintenance to deal with.

I have a very small kitchen but love to grow everything, I received my aero grow 2 years ago as a gift and just love it, grew herbs in it for the first two years, now I have started the salad bar series, two days I already see small plants. It's easy to set up and very simple to clean, when I was ready to start a new seed kit,I couldn't believe how fast, maybe ten minutes and it was done and ready to be planted. It was so fast.
Thank you aero grow for making it possible to grow right on my kitchen counter.

My husband and Granddaughter bought this for me for Mother's Day this year. Even though the plants are just beginning to come out, took two domes off this afternoon, BUT it has been so much fun to watch and HOPE it does what it says it will do and so far it has done exactly what it says it will do. I just love it. They could not have gotten me anything BETTER. I wanted one of these for quite awhile, but I would not order it for myself, so they got it for me and I did not know they were getting it for me either. I was so shocked and happy and I still am.

I tell everyone about it and how much I love it.

Now I will write another when they are growing better but I LOVE IT and anyone that is "thinking" about getting one. GET IT! You want be dissappointed.

Oh I love the Aerogarden! What a wonderful and easy product to use. My Aerogarden was an early gift from my boyfriend and our children for Mother's day.
I received it just over two weeks ago and I really cannot believe how much everything has grown in such a short time! I have the gourment herb kit, and every herb but one has sprouted. I figure its just a bum pod and probably doesn't happen very often, so it doesn't bother me all that much. The kit actually came with two different basils and the italian basil didn't sprout, so I at least get to try the purple basil.
Not having a pod sprout is the only problem I have had. Everything else is perfectly fine, and the best part is that it doesn't require a whole lot of work. It was so easy to set up and get going. And not only do I find it cool to see how fast the herbs are growing, but so do my kids! Both of my boys love to help in the kitchen, and this is just peaking their interest even more.
I really only have great things to say about this product and I recommend it to anyone who wants fresh herbs, veggies, or flowers. So far I have only done the herbs, but I know I will be trying the other kits you can get because of the ease of use and the convenience of having fresh foods right at home instead of getting it from the store. Absolutely great product!

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I received my Aero Garden as an early Mothers Day gift from my Mom. I had mentioned to her how much I loved fresh herbs and wanted to start my own herb garden. I can't stand buying over priced, packaged herbs from the grocery store, only to have to throw them away a day or two after I get them!

I have to comment first on how incredibly easy the set up was. Anyone can do it! The instructions are very clear and very straight forward. You don't need any special tools or a degree in structural engineering to put it together. LOL!

I just started my herbs today so I'm looking forward to seeing how they do over the coarse of the next month. My only concern is that it is highly recommended that you NOT use well water or softened water. I live in the country and all I have access to is well water. I do however have a hard water tap, so I used that and I'm hoping for the best. If it doesn't work out I guess I will have to buy distilled water at the store. But so far, that's the only negative that I can forsee.

From what I can tell so far, this is the perfect product for those who love fresh herbs, veggies and flowers! Especailly for those of us who live in cooler climates. This makes having fresh herbs and veggies anytime of year a snap.

What I like about my garden there is very little work involved except for plant care. My plants have many tomatoes on them with different stages of ripeness. I started the garden during the first week of Jan.2009 and are ready to start enjoying the tomatoes. When this garden is done, there will be another !!

Best Uses:

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

When I first saw the price of the aerogarden – well, I thought it was pricey. However, with the economy the way it is – and with Spring on it’s way, I realized I needed to consider a garden this year – and I wasn’t too excited considering an outside garden.I have a number of issues preventing an outdoor garden – my past attempts have been eaten by rabbits, deer and caterpillars. And now with arthritis setting in – how can I expect to weed/ dig and plant?Well, I got to thinking of the price of an outdoor garden, and comparing to what I get with an aerogarden – very basic outdoor garden: 14 packets seeds @ $2.95 = $41.30; 72 cell plant seed starter $10; Growing pellets $9.95; Starter Solution $5.38; Labels $4.50; Hand tools – spade $20; Hand cultivator $7.98; Hand trowel $7.98; Light duty hose $9.95; Sprinkler $15; Gloves $10; Plant Food $15.98 for a grand total of $158.02. And that’s not including all of the other things I’d end up buying – bug killers, deer preventers, raised bed items…. So simple – no weeds or bugs – plug it in and add water! Lights indicate when more nutrients or water is needed – I sure don’t get that with an outside garden! I was so impressed, within days I had already bought a second one – planning lettuce for the second, and when the herbs are done in the current one, will put in vegetables. Planning to get 2 more – a 3 pod for future herbs and one for strawberries. And within 4 days – yup—there’s the little plants already enjoying their new home.

This product is great. It was easy to set up (kids and their dad did it). It started growing fast and the kids loved watching how much it would grow each day. The herbs were great. One complaint is the chives were think and we grew thick ones over the summer so wish were larger variety. But, everything was great. We are purchasing more pods now to start the next items we want to grow. It would be great if you could choose to buy individual seed pods instead of kits.. pick your pods per say. This is a great product and works well. I would suggest it for anyone.

The most difficult thing about the aerogarden is taking it out of the box! I am one of those that moves a lot. I would have saved the packing if I had any thought I could repackage this item for moving but I highly doubt it can be done. This I consider a marvel as it shows us the consumer that there is great attention to detail. This sucker is really packed well-lol!Admittedly, there have been minor problems (real ones) with it. These are immediately resolved either by looking at the booklet that comes with each and every kit or, by calling customer service. The customer service representatives are incredibly knowledgable not only about the unit itself, but about growing in general. They have helped me immensely through the years I have owned this unit.I do grow things outside on my small deck during the growing season and some of those plants begin life in my aerogarden. I always use my aerogarden to supplement during the growing season so it is never 'off'. It is essential to me during the seasons that growing is impossible outdoors. I would recommend this product for anyone considering it.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I love fresh herbs in my cooking but hate to buy packages at the store and throw 90% away. Using Aerogarden allows me to use only what I need at the time and keep the rest fresh and on the stalk until I need it. It's very difficult for me to grow my own herbs outside in the garden due to the hot climate here in lower Alabama. The only way would be in a small window unit with messy dirt and a lot of fuss. There is no fuss with the Aerogarden!
Salads rot in the bag because I can't eat all of it in time. With Aerogarden I can trim just enough greens to make a small salad and keep the rest fresh in the garden for the next salad. It's the most wonderful invention for a single person I've ever seen. Again, in lower Alabama growing lettuce is a laugh. It can burn up in a day with this weather. And even if it isn't burned, it's big and tough! The Aerogarden keeps everything sweet and tender.

Wow I got results instantly for a plant that failed to thrive in soil or peat. Not sure about fruiting yet has to get really hot but at least I got a root and plant this year. Didn't have to worry about ph for soil either. I will be starting up the next batch of plants in about 3-4 weeks when I can safely transplant these guys into pots and put them outside in the sun. Still not above 60 degrees here yet.

This is so great to have. I do alot of cooking and I sure get tried going to the store for fresh herbs Tomatos, peppers, an lettuce. I cook all the time and I do like fresh things you cannot get any better stuff then fresh, and you pick it when you need it, and it keep growing on an on. Now there one thing and it is not a big deal but it can help people in apartment living . I had to fined a right time to set the lights to go off so I can sleep at night. Because it was was getting me up at night if you are a person has to have it dark then do this. when you are starting for the first time or. another set of what ever you are growing set the time to start growing at 7 AM it will grow 16 hours then the light will go off at 11PM so you can sleep then it will start 8 hrs later at 7 AM again. If you are growing Tomato they needs time to sleep and it well sleep 8 hrs. And if I didnt say, I do have 2 AreoGradens one is the Space sever 6 as well. And no you do not need a green thumb. And one other thing were I live it get very hot here and this is great for growing in the home. It is a GREAT GARDEN.

This is my second aerogarden. I have had terrific success with my space saver 6 and now have bought the "big boy" and am looking forward to my fresh salad greens. I have enjoyed my herbs tremndously but severly overharvested them! I'll give them a week or two but may replant with some of the pods from the master chef kit. I love cilantro and have never heard of epazole, my son is a chef and told me its commonly used in Mexican cooking down in the south, not so much here in Boston. Here's to some tasty experiments.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

After a lifetime in California it was a real hardship when we moved and could only grow herbs during the spring and summer. The winter freeze killed everything off our first year here in the high desert region. The aerogarden allowed me to get back to cooking with fresh herbs year round. I adore this device.

I found out how indispensible it is when I cleaned it up in preparation to use the seed starter kit so that when the winter frosts are over I will have a head start planting my lavender outdoors. One week without fresh herbs and I purchased my second aero garden so I can get another herb kit started pronto. I'm sure I could live without it but I don't ever want to try.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I received my AeroGrow a few years ago, for Christmas. I love it! I was so spoiled living in California all my life, that when I had to move the Pacific Northwest, I experienced major fresh veggie withdrawals! They only have farmers markets up here for a few months out of the year.

The AeroGrow has kept me supplied with fresh salad greens, herbs, and other goodies, during those gray months when nothing grown in America is available. I've been into the idea of eating local food, and you can't get much more local than your own kitchen!

The unit is very easy to use, and so much fun to have around the house. It's very quiet and unobtrusive. There is nothing I'd do to improve it, except maybe see if they would develop "skins" for the unit when I tire of the color.

It took me about 35 minutes to set up my garden after my husband brought it in. In snow and high altitude I can still have a garden. I can eat what I grow for healthier meals. I can grow all year around. I'm an old school gardener learning a new way to do what I love the most. What's not to like, it even looks beautiful in my small home.

I ordered this because I like 'fresh'everything, especially for my birds. I can't have anything with fertilizer or pesticides on it because the birds sample everything. I planted 41 days ago and already it looks like the picture. I have used the basil and dill. Of course since I told the birds (6) they could taste, so far they haven't! I have! I have one with flowers also just started. I bought one for my mother and today I am ordering one for a friend. Thank you for this product. Next time I am ordering one for my office, hum.... maybe I should order that today since I am ordering anyway!

It is so effortless to set up and use. It is a beautiful piece that sits on a baker's rack in my kitchen/dining area. The lights at night make the dining room look so warm and homey with the shadows it creates. I received numerous comments about the garden and it never goes unnoticed. The herbs are coming up as promised and they look healthy. The pump is so quiet I have to look under the hood with a flashlight to make sure it is running. I'm so taken with my Aerogarden I just bought another so I can grow mega cherry tomatoes. Now all my friends want one.

I got this as a gift for my boyfriend who enjoys technology and gardening (could there be a more perfect gift for him?). He really loves his Aerogarden. He started it up almost 4 weeks ago and the little plants are coming along nicely. It's really fun to watch the daily differences in growth! My only complaint was that one of the bulbs blew out right away[...]. I can't wait to start harvesting my herbs! It's awesome to have fresh, home-grown herbs in January in Philadelphia!I recommend Aerogardens to people who cook on a regular basis. It's worthwhile to harvest herbs right from in my home rather than go out to the store and get herbs that have been shipped all over creation. I also recommend this to people with kids because it could be a great educational opportunity (not only for the plant growth, but how to use the herbs for cooking). Good product. We enjoy it.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I bought my first garden last month as a Christmas present to me from my husband. I have tried to grow herbs and vegtables for years but I have a dark brown thumb! Never would ever grow. My basil from my first is already growing larger in 2 weeks then anything I have tried to grow inside or outside before. My kitchen is now full of sunlight which I love with our long winters. I love it so much that I just went out and bought another. I am going to save the herb kit that came with it and have just ordered the large salad greens seed kit. If that does half as well as my herbs are doing I will be very happy. So now I will have both herbs and salad greens and even more sunlight. If you get the winter blahs, buy a garden. It will really help.

When I first saw the AeroGarden, I thought to myself "what a great idea!". Then I got one as a Christams gift last year. I grew herbs like I never could outside. Pests and weather made it disapointing. And never needing to leave the house for my herbs while cooking was great! Not to mention that they are clean and free of bugs!

Now I'm growing tomatoes in my AeroGarden, and I have never seen such healthy plants! I'm planning to purchase 2 more so I can start my seeds for spring garden, and also some Basil to go with my tomatoes!

Thank you for a wonderful product!

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I only have one of these little beauties, but I forsee a tower of them in the corner of my dining room in the future!

I bought the aerogarden because I love to attract the hummingbirds to my yard. The best way to assure that I have my share of these angelic creatures is to have an early flowering paradise to attract them as they migrate up from farther south in the early spring.

Last year, I planted seedlings, kept them under a warm light in my shed, protected somewhat from the winter cold, but found that I just didn't have room to handle a big bulky try of seedlings and besides, when spring came, they still weren't ready to bloom! I planted my little seedlings in my flower beds and had to use a magnifying glass to find them. I don't think it helped the hummers a bit.

This year, I planted my seedlings in the warmth of my dining room in late December (I didn't have to walk outside in the cold to my shed to tend to them). The seed packets said "14-21 day germination" Unbelievable - mine were sprouted in THREE days!!!

It's been four weeks and some are actually ready to be transplanted to pots and will undoubtedly be much more substantial than my results the previous year.

The problem now - I'm having to wait to plant my herbs and my tomatoes until I get my seedlings finished . . . need more aerogardens!

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

My plants have taken a little while to flourish. I think they would have been faster to grow and a little more healthy had the user manual and troubleshooting section discussed the signs of water that has a too high mineral content. I live very close to Dallas and am on city water, but apparently the mineral content is still too high as my seedlings turned yellow at the end of the 1st month. Luckily, an email arrived from Aerogarden that mentioned this could be caused by the water. Now I'm using distilled water that I buy at the store. During the spring, summer and fall I will be using rainwater. So hopefully this problem doesn't occur again.

This didn't happen when I planted flowers only when I planted herbs.

But I still love the product because now I am actively using herbs in my cooking. I'll look at my plants and think they need trimming so I figure a way to use them in the meal that evening. *smiles* As a result my family is eating a little more healthy and I'm cooking more. A win-win situation!

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I'm a vegetarian that prefers to eat as clean as possible, but I don't like buying "organic" fruits/vegetables in the store as they don't look very good.I do love many varieties of fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs to use in cooking, so I can keep my foods flavorful yet salt free as I never use salt. I'm looking forward to using the herb kit to grow fresh herbs in my kitchen to use in my cooking. I honestly think this is one of the best tools any kitchen should have to be able to grow fresh tomatoes and lettuce, and herbs as I live in the Northeast US and by September, these items are out of season, and in the grocery stores, they look terrible as they have to be shipped in. It's also great to start spring gardens and get a head start on your outdoor garden.

I started with herbs and got nearly 7 months of wonderful selections of herbs. Next came the salad greens and that went on for nearly 4 months and they were so tasty and tender. It's now December 25th in Montana and I'm planting my cherry tomatoes today! Can't wait to do the taste test with what I normally plant in my June 1st garden.

I have been wanting to start my outside gardening again, but hesitated because of all the manual labor. I bought the Aerogarden and was estatic. It is great. I rather use this than tilling dirt.
I pinch the growing herbs and eat it right off the setup, stems and all. It so delicious and tender. I cannot wait to purchase more Aerogardens.
However, my mint, which was on the end was a slow grower until I rearranged it with my italian basil to help it grow faster. When it got taller I rearranged it back. I do not know why it did not grow because all of the other herbs were growning beautifully.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

As soon as I got this, the first thing I started to grow was the salad greens kit that came with it. I was shocked to find them immediately sprouting in about 3 days! I didn't have a very green thumb before I got the aerogarden... now I can grow anything!!! So far I have grown the salad greens, and a variety of flowers when I don't feel like planting veggies. It's really great, and all of my friends are so enthused when they see it in my apt.

The only bad thing about this I can think of is the calcium buildup/deposits from the water. It didn't happen with the greens, but when I grew my own flowers (using the master gardening kit) there was a lot of buildup around the unused holes. I think it's because I should have covered the unused holes. It caused annoying cleanup just about every day, but I think the next time I grow something I will buy those covers for it.

It doesn't get any better than this! It tells you what to do and when to do it by the use of lights.
The only things you need to do are (1) watch the lights and add water/neutrients. (2) watch growth and harvest often. Some herbs grow almost while you watch! Particularly, Basils.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

We've tried lots of ways to garden on the balcony of our Miami condo and always would up with soil flying, plants burning in the sun, or our dog, Tinky, mistaking the garden for her garden--if you know what I mean. Hours of labor and many dollars used to blow away in the wind. Problem solved. Aero Garden thrives on our counter--herbs galore-the invention works and the dog can't reach it. Food tastes great and looks wonderful with a fresh herb or two on top for presentation. We've turned our former herb garden into a mini park for the pet and we all live happily forever!!!

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I ordered 3 kits for my homeschooled son's biology study. We were so excited when they came, we planted them right away. My son loved checking on them several times a day to see how fast they grew. He is funny because he gives them a pep talk every day, telling them how pretty they are, how fast they are growing, and how much he appreciates them.

The salad kit sprouted in a couple of days, but died a few days later. I called customer service and got a new kit quickly. She suggested using distilled water instead of tap water. That worked great. Makes you wonder what's in the tap water. We had fresh salads every other day for months. My other son picked leaves off as he watched TV. Beats snacking on potato chips!

Some of the herbs did not sprout in our first kit, so he was disappointed by that. The second is doing great, however.

I love my arugula kit. I can't keep my hands off. Every time I go past, I snip a few leaves to chew on. They needed distilled water, too at first. Once they were established, the tap water works just fine.

When my daughter was here for the holidays, she and her hubby fell in love with the system. They took one home with them. Now, I am hoping Santa will bring me another one - maybe the Pro 200? My homeschooler wants to grow tomatoes and peas.

It is one of the few items you see advertised on T.V. or magazines that actually lives up to their companies claims. I have looked into other aeroponics systems. They are two involved, the aerogarden is simply and easy to use.

If you are living with a disability and it is difficult to get outside and do the hard work that gardening requires, this product is a joy to have. Because you don't have to bend, it makes it attractive for those of us with arthritic joints. I've always loved fresh plants but never got very good results; you could say I have a "brown thumb", but it is so easy to do "foolproof" gardening with the AeroGardens. I looked into other hydroponics, but AeroGrow makes the most attractive products and maybe the easiest to manage too. I really am pleased.

We have very very short growing seasons here. I am loving the fact that I have fresh lettuce for my lunch sandwiches every day. The real treat for me will be trying the seed starting kit. I have wanted to grow watermelons for a few years now but our growing season is too short and melons turn out stunted and frequently never ripen. The other problem with a short season is that just when plants are starting to look their best, it snows and they die. I want to get my garden started early this coming spring and have them well on their way before planting outside. I just ordered the romaine kit and excited to have this growing during the winter!! I was amazed at how fast my salad greens kit grew. They were all germinating in 48 hours and all 7 pods are producing a plenty! I'm looking forward to the romaine doing the same.

I saw this advertised last Christmas and said to my husband, "THAT's what I want for Christmas, and here's a coupon." It was the best present I've ever gotten. We live in New England, where winters are long and dark. I had light and green and fresh herbs, right here in my kitchen the whole winter long! In the spring, we replaced the herbs with cascading petunias that filled the kitchen with color. Tonight, we replanted it with herbs again, and I thanked my husband again for the gift. No one comes into our house without remarking on the AeroGarden. I'm like a kid, taking sheer pleasure in the wonder of gardening--in my kitchen, even when the whole world is frozen outside!

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

It is snowing outside and I have fresh herbs germinating in my kitchen! I love the aerogarden. The herbs germinated at different times, but within the interval on the label. I just wish I could buy individual pods, rather than a kit, or a modifiable kit. I don't use chives much (they come with the kit). I would like a kit with cilantro and rosemary, but it is not available. The chosen combination has a lot of visual appeal, even if it does not match my cooking demands 100%.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I purchased 3 classic aerogardens as part of the 3 garden wall farm about 9 months ago. This allowed me to get the 3 shelf wall garden for free. I could not be more happy. Having the 3 gardens allows me to grow herbs, lettuce, and veggies all at the same time. The unit is a wonderful conversation piece. Everyone who comes to our house comments on it. We are eating so much healthier now. I strongly recommend not just buying one aerogarden, but the full wall garden. Trust me, if you buy only one, you are quickly going to be wishing you had another. It's a great bargain when you buy the 3 together and the shelf allows you to keep your kitchen counter space. I have always wanted an outdoor garden, but just have not had the time for much more than a few herbs. These gardens are so easy to take care of. I have no problems keeping up with them. I already can't imagine being without them. Customer service is wonderful as well. They really stand behind their product. I just can't say enough good things about the whole system. I definitely strongly recommend this product.

Always loved to garden and eat fresh vegetables. In the military it has been very difficult to tend any real garden. Aerogarden has changed that. Easy to tend and good harvest of peppers and tomatoes. Just ordered the Deluxe Upgrade - I'll let you know how it goes in a few months.

I received my first AeroGarden a few weeks ago. I had seedlings in less than 48 hours, and now have a thriving brood of herbs! It's fun to watch these plants grow before our eyes; it's amazing how fast it's happening, and the plants are far healthier than their outside and potted counterparts! I can't wait to try other Aerogarden models and seed kits and plan on devoting an entire room to AG. I couldn't have had a more positive experience so far. A truly, fun, high-quality product! (Guess what everyone is getting for Christmas this year?) I'm elated with this Aerogarden!

I wanted the Aerogarden because it is difficult to grow plants where I live. I didn't realize I would learn so much about the proper treatment of each plant with the informative booklets included with each seed kit. I am amazed at the growth and the beauty of the plants. They seem almost unreal. I have had some problems, but they only showed me what great customer service Aerogardens have. I bought three Aerogardens and only one has had problems so far. The people at customer service have fixed everything. I highly recommend buying one, two or more.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

Very easy to use. I only wish that when you first order it, the free set of pods were ones that you could choose (instead of the default herbs of which I only tended to use 3 out of the 7). I liked the fact that you specify which types of plants you are trying to grow to personalize water and lighting needs but that does limit you on the ability to mix things like salad greens with herbs in your garden. I ended up having to buy an Aero3 to grow my herbs and took out the herbs from my Aero7 to replace it with salad greens. Although I have a big countertop, I did find that it took up quite a bit of space so for those with smaller counters (or pets that jump on counters to get to your plants), I would recommend a stand.

Well, my sister got me one of these things because I was renting and didn't have a place to plant my own garden. I missed a lot about gardening--especially being able to watch the plants come up, and the pleasure of growing my own food. (Food just tastes better when you grow it yourself!)

Now that I've moved into a house of my own and I have the space to garden outdoors, I'm surprised to find that I strongly prefer the Aerogarden to mucking about in the dirt... No weeds, no bugs, no messy fertilizer, but still I get the fresh herbs I love cooking with!

I live in SE Ohio where the winters are cold and the summers are HOT. I bought my first garden in November (started the herbs) and within two weeks bought another for salad greens. I'm an avid gardener but it gets too hot too quickly to grow lettuce here. I LOVE that I can have fresh greens year round, that all parts are replaceable, expandable. Next crop is eggplant (another crop that has NEVER done well for me). If there were a 3x buyer discount, I'd be getting #3!

We recieved a garden for Chistmas two years ago and immediately purchased a second one. We have been very pleased with the items that we have planted to give us a touch of springtime during the cold winter months. One of our favorites was the package of roses that we enjoyed this past winter. When it was warm enough we put them on the patio in a planter and still enjoy them. We currently have red and white roses blooming on the 18 inch bushes. Another favorite was the cherry tomatoes that we planted last year. When warm enough; they too were planted outside. This year we have nice sized plants full of tomatoes that were left in the ground and surprised us with their comeback. The gardens have been one of our most treasured purchases that we have made.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I bought my Aerogarden about 5 months ago and have been growing the International Basil kit. My results re not perfect, but they are good and the different varieties of Basil are delicious. Like any product, is has its pros & cons. Fewer cons, so I will begin with those; The cord is a bit short and the light is quite bright. (My husband insists it could be seen from space.) Keep it out of bedroom sightlines and it will be fine. The replacement kits are a bit expensive as are the bulbs. Every single plant does not grow equally well. But the PROS far outweigh the cons for me.First and foremost, it is designed for ease of use, and it really is very easy. Seeds are already in the pods and the plant food is in tablets, which means it is pre-measured. Plus, the machine has very noticeable blinking red lights, to remind you when to water & feed. And the plants germinate more quickly that they do in pots.Next, many people complain that the machine is kind of expensive. Well, I have actually shopped around and hydroponics systems really are expensive. And in most cases, the lighting is sold separately. BTW, all of the bulbs for these systems are expensive. So when compared to other systems with lighting, this one is relatively cheap. If you order by phone, from Aeerogrow, they will substitute another seed kit, if you do not want the Gourmet Herb Kit.Finally, it is just plain fun to have delicious herbs at my disposal whenever I want them. They find their way into pasta, omelettes, sandwiches, etc., on a daily basis. And since my house does not get much natural light, this added light is welcome.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

My fiance bought me an Aerogarden for Christmas last year. It is the best gift by far! I love to garden outdoors, unfortunately, the summer heat and sandy dirt in Myrtle Beach does not allow my garden to produce well. My first kit was herbs, and they produced like crazy! I love cooking, and so I started putting the herbs in everything! I am now growing lettuce, and we are eating salads constantly. I can't wait to try cherry tomatoes, strawberries, other herbs, snow peas. . . I just think it is the best invention, and I use it daily! Not only does it produce well, it also gives great light in the kitchen, and no bugs or critters eat my produce like outdoors! I think it is amazing and just love it! I am hoping that my fiance will buy me another one for Christmas this year, so I can have more than 1 thing growing at a time!

I got the AeroGarden because I live in Florida and it is too hot and humid to grow many herbs, especially in the summer. In addition, I live in an apartment, so there is not enough space on my patio for all the herbs I want. This gives me the control of light, temperature and water and I know they are clean and pest and pesticide free. One note of caution, though. Be sure to keep watching the water level. Especially once the herbs begin to grow, you must add water every couple of days.

I've loved this especially during the holidays when fresh herbs are so hard to find. I bought one for my daughter who is growing lettuce for her salads. Fresh unblemished tomatoes are hard to find during the winter months here. Thanks for such a great product!

I bought two at the same time. One for lettuce and one for tomatoes.
The veggies are there and convienient to use and they don't spoil in my fridge!!
Everyone who comes over wants to find out about how the veggies grow;they peek under the grow surface and check out the root systems.
I am a science teacher, so I use the AeroGardens as a teaching opportunity.
My AeroGardens are in my kitchen and I don't even bother turning on lights in the kitchen any more because the grow lights provide sufficient illumination.
I am very sad that one of my lettuce pods was not viable.

It is easy to use and convenient - my herbs are ready to use immediately without fear of pestisides or contamination which now days is a real plus. I also love the fact that the kids get to watch and understand gardening and plants upclose everyday. And no bugs or weeds - does it get any better!!

We bought one and liked it so much we bought 3 more.
We never want to buy store bought letuce or greens again. The aerogarden is a real spoiler. We are still waiting for the tomatoes to ripen but they look great and I'm sure they will be terrific.

I love this product. I had a problem with one herb in my first garden, and the company continually sent me replacements and wanted my opinions. Great product, great product support.

This is my third one, and it is not quite as good as the others, but I am afraid I may have not totally cleared the pump from the last one. I recommend this to everyone.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I am a wonderful Computer Tech, but a lousy cook and gardener. I can kill a plant faster than anyone I know. Vegetables??? Forget it. I have never been able to keep anything alive. Until the AeroGrow. What a wonderful product. I started with the salad greens kits and enjoyed the most wonderful salads I have ever had. I was so pleased that I bought a second AeroGrow and started growing tomatoes, they are the sweetest tasting. I ended up buying a third AeroGrow and started growing snow peas. I come home from work and get a bowl and fork and pick a salad, that is growing right in my kitchen, fresh. No Bugs, No Pesticides. I have to admit that I haven't tried to grow the herb kits, but thats because, like I said, I'm a lousy cook and I don't know what to do with them. I just can't blame my AeroGrows for that.
This is a fantastic product. I also want to say that this product is rare in the fact that for once, I found a product that will Actually work and do everything as advertised, you don't find a lot of that today.

I purchased the basic AeroGarden with a salad greens kit at my local [...]. Although it was quick and easy to set up, the pump became excessively noisy almost immediately. The troubleshooting guide on the website, which was very detailed, did not help, so I contacted customer service. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a live operator, who immediately rectified the situation to my satisfaction. In addition, the seed kit (also purchased retail) did not sprout properly, and that was expeditiously handled with no questions asked; their guaranteed to grow assurance is accurate. My unit is now in good working order, and is growing batches of lettuce. Any company can suffer a product failure. AeroGrow impressed me with their rapid problem resolution. Since then, I've purchased an AeroGarden Pro 100, and love them both.

I love growing my own salad greens! I live alone and the herbs are great too, but I grew so many that I dried a lot and then "planted" greens. Where I live I can go to a farm market down the street year round, but having the greens fresh cut makes the best salads, EVER! I love that I know no pesticides were on my greens and have plenty of yield for a daily salad!

I started with 1 AeroGarden on the kitchen counter and got hooked. Bought triple wall unit for the family room (great light therapy 16+ hours a day and strategically placed behind our seating area---a real mood booster during our long Northeast eves and nights) and a Pro 200 for my office. Told my sister about it and she got one for her biology classroom. I have grown salad greens and herbs, but my favorite use is using the Master Gardener Kit to start my tomatoes. I have >40 variety heirlooms in my garden.

It's so nice to have fresh herbs and lettuce, right at my elbow, as I cook. I've found I can stretch the growing season even longer than they suggest and with two I can have all my favorites continuously on hand. The down side; I'm starting to wonder, is three being excessive? Even though I live in the country and have a large vegetable and a large herb garden out back, the ease of no weeds or pests, not having to wash and dry my herbs before chopping, and lettuce even in hot October, is too nice to resist.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

My family has used our Aerogarden for growing herbs (usually all different kinds, since we've tried out the various packs). We've found that once the herbs get growing, there's nothing greater to have sitting around the kitchen. Sometimes we can't even use them fast enough! As for down sides...well...it doesn't have a "large" footprint, but if it's on the counter than it can block your view since it can get pretty tall. Which, in my opinion, is a trade-off more than worthwhile to have fresh and fast-growing herbs in the kitchen. Heck, you could even solve that problem by stashing it in a corner since it has its own light....Overall, a very good product to have!

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I bought my first AeroGarden in Nov. 2006 for my mother. She was 92, was recovering from a stroke, and couldn't do the things she could before, like read, crossword puzzles, etc. It was grey and dreary out, and she was bored and depressed. I set it up and planted tomatoes. Everyone at assisted living was excited. People started visiting her to see the garden. She loved it. She and her 90-yr.-old sister enjoyed the tomatoes for 2-3 months, eating them one at a time.

I bought 3 other Aerogardens, one for my husband (hot peppers -- they're beautiful and prolific), one for my office (people touring our lab came by to see the lettuces) and another at home for herbs.

I'm sold on them. I even bought the Master Gardener Kit, to raise my own seeds. I've also substituted other herbs for ones in the herb kit that I didn't care for (the dill and cilantro didn't do very well). I have nothing but praise for customer service; they've come through every time.

My mother has the Flower Bouquet kit, now. We'll try roses, next, maybe.

I'm an experienced gardener, but I love being able to grow things hydroponically and to be able to pick my produce when I want it. It's fast, easy to do and fun! The drawbacks as I see them are that the inside tends to get quite dirty and it's a bit cumbersome, not to mention labor intensive to take the thing apart to clean. I have the classic version, but I really wish I had received the Pro 200 because of the additional light, the longer arm and the ability to secure taller plants. I love this so much, I wish I had a couple more of them!

I really like the how things grow. Very natural, nice to pick what I need. I am going to downsize or reorganize though, I just don't use that many herbs. I have had a lot of fun with my first crops. I bought two and I am glad that I did. I am thinking of growing strawberries next for winter time.

The lights did bother me a little, but that has more to do with how my house is arranged rather than the product itself. I plan to buy for Christmas presents.

It's convenient, space-efficient, and low-maintenance. I use my AeroGarden to keep a ready supply of herbs I typically use in cooking. I like the flexibility of being able to design my own plantings and will enjoy being able to keep salad greens in the kitchen throughout the winter once I transplant the herbs.
I had less luck with the garden starter tray, but that may have been due more to inexperience than to any design defect - I'll let you know next year.

So far I've grown herbs and salads in my Aerogarden and I couldn't be more pleased with the results! I grow my herbs outside during the summer months and the salads in my Aerogarden. Then during the winter I use the Aerogarden to grow the herbs. I use fresh herbs daily, so this gives me year round harvesting! I definitely plan on purchasing more Aerogardens in the future and have become an official spokesperson for the company to friends and family. The great thing about the company is they listen to their customers and are always coming out with improvements and great new ideas. Not to mention the seed varieties.

You do not have to be concerned about storage or spoilage as you would if you bought then at the store. The best thing is they are FRESH and at the peak of flavor. They are very easy to grow just pop them in their place. The garden reminds you when to water and feed. Can't ask for anything easier.

I saw the AeroGarden as part of a survey that I took. I loved the idea and was so excited when my parents said they bought one. I have a "brown thumb" when it comes to growing things.I was so excited about the machine, that my parents got me and my sister one (the herb garden). Herbs are great but I likes me the vegetables!I got a phone call from a wonderful lady and she offered me one for [$] I chose the "Salsa Garden". I have 4 healthy tomato shoots and 2 very fast growing pepper plants. The other Tomato plant is lagging a bit. My sister is a botanist and says that the slow growing plants make the best vegies so we shall see.If I had to ask for improvements I'd like to see some sort of connection to a computer, tracking actual numbers that sort of thing and please please Mauve lights (those light purple ones). Those white lights are great but them suckers is BRIGHT!I live in a studio apartment and I need to hang up a blanket to block the light. In September I am moving to a larger apartment and my sister is going to give me her (our) birthday AeroGarden so I will have two! One in each corner of the living room. No more troubles with the bright lights.Just one last improvement if I may, add chives to the "Salsa Garden" it needs an onion for most of the recipes so why not add it to the grow? Oh and get to work on that tea garden! If that comes out my sister won't give me her machine but that's okay.I think I will get the [$] one, I'd like to grow some mint and strawberries! Mmmmm!I also need a way to sell these because I would love to get paid to do what I am doing for free.. Spreading the word!

The AeroGarden is a must-have in my kitchen. Not only have I had complements on how "cute" it looks on my kitchen counter, but it serves an important part of my vegan diet. Since I eat mostly fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, I use alot of herbs and seasonings for flavor. I only eat whole foods so the AeroGarden is perfect for providing for my herbs and also a good source for lettuce. I also eat mostly organic whenever I can find it which in my area is most of the time so again the AeroGarden provides me with organic produce. I love my AeroGarden. Who ever came up with this idea, thank you.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

We got our Classic two years ago, and were so impressed that within two months we had a second one. By having two we are able to grow a variety of lettuce in one, and tomatoes in the other - it's like having a mini salad bar in the kitchen!

Now we are in the process of upgrading one to the Deluxe version, adding the extra height that our tomatoes seem to want. If this works out as well as we hope we'll be upgrading the second as well!

Our only problem is a lack of space. We'd really like to get a third Deluxe unit to grow herbs at the same time as the salad stuff, but we don't have the space and can't take advantage of the wall rack due to other constraints. However, I'm sure we'll figure out a way to accommodate the third one sooner or later (hopefully sooner!)

Besides the joy of having really fresh salad ingredients in the winter (instead of the tasteless lettuce and no-taste tomatoes from the grocery stores), it is a true treat to watch how quickly the new seed pods sprout and grow. Once they get going the change is noticeable even over the short time we are gone to work during the day. You'd not think that it would be observable in that short a time, but it is; it's almost like magic watching this garden grow.

We still have our outside garden during the growing season, but even if we have to give that up for some reason we'll still have the opportunity to garden in the kitchen. This is one product that not only lives up to it's advertising claims, but goes several steps beyond.

This product has given me the opportunity to have fresh garden veggies year round! Here in Montana we have a very short growing season & until someone invents a way to can or freeze lettuce we are usually out of luck for fresh salad greens & other veggies most of the year. Now I can have fresh veggies ALL year! I have one, I just bought a second & I see a third in the very near future!

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I purchased my Aerogarden several years ago so that I could have blooming flowers all the time at work and to provide some much needed spring for our long winters (I live in Alaska). The petunias have been glorious every time and last much longer than anticipated. Over the years people have always been interested in what has been growing in the garden and everything about the garden - many have gone out and bought their own and now they come tell me their stories of success. (A Co-worker across the hall has several.) I have even transplanted my petunias for a glorious basket where everyone asked me at which green house did I purchase it. Not shortly after my first purchase, I bought one for home, especially since good produce is hard to find. I have grown everything from lettuce to tomatoes. Recently, a co-worker bought the herb kit to grow in my garden at work and we all shared in the spoils (love the basil). My next adventure is going to be dwarf sweat peas with my Master Gardner kit. Aerogarden is easy to use, educational, a great morale booster for my windowless office, and has all the rewards of watching the plants grow, and so much more. Now there are so many more types and versions to meet everyones various tastes and needs. Thank you all for giving me such a great gift!

My family loves basil. We grow it every year. For some reason, this year it wouldn't grow in my garden, so I asked for an Aero Garden for my birthday. Now I have more basil than I believe! I'll use a whole lot one night, and think I'll have to wait a week to prune again, and in a few days, I have all I want once more! This is an amazing product. I'll be using it for a long time to come.

My family knew how much I love to garden even though I don't currently have a place to do it, so this was a joint Christmas gift from my 2 children and fiancee. All of us get a thrill out of seeing the growth process and enjoying the bounty. I grew one batch of herbs and am now on to tomatoes.
I had problems with one of the grow lights separating from its base and with the add water magnet (still doesn't seem to work quite right) but the company has replaced parts happily and for free, so I've been pleased with how they've stuck by their product.

My husband and I recently remodeled our small kitchen and it was important to me that we designed the perfect place for our Aerogarden, although we threw out everything else and bought new, the Aerogarden was staying. I have grown just about everything in the Aerogarden, and I have found that the only time I have had problems is because of my lack of maintenance, otherwise it has worked perfectly. It is so fun to watch the growing process and I really like the extra light it gives off.

I've had mine for about 2 years and have only grown herbs. The International Basil kit is incredible. In fact, this is the first year I haven't bothered to grow basil in the garden. While it's a pain to have to rinse the bowl every 4 weeks, it really seems to make a huge difference in the health of the plants which just keep growing and growing. We have pesto frozen for the rest of the year.

I want to try the lettuce collection next as I think we will use that daily.
Thanks for a gift that just keeps on giving!

I love this Garden. Since we moved to smaller property I don't have the luxury of my 1/2 acre garden. This is a fantastic product and it's so low maintenance: add water and nutrients every 2 weeks, that's it. I love having a fresh salad every day. Being able to snip herbs for dinner is a treat. And in winter fresh salad is wonderful. It's very cost effective with prices rising. I like knowing where my food comes from (I shop lots of local farm markets) and I can say my kitchen counter! I definitely plan to get a deluxe one for the winter to grow tomatoes and beans. This really is one of the best indoor gardening products I've ever seen and it's worth the price when you see how it grows and HOW MUCH it grows for you. It's also really fun to watch it grow and looks so pretty in the kitchen. I would recommend this to anyone!

Thank you aerogrow.

I put my first [a gift] in a dark corner of my kitchen. The grow light acted as a night light that glowed in several rooms.

As the plants matured they sluffed off seeds and dried particles. I did not know what was in the dogs water bowel at first. I then realized it was the Herbs going to seed. LOL

I just purchased the 3 pack of units. I put 1 on a table near my front door. Saves on using the lamps in the house. My husband is almost blind and he enjoyes the automatic light.
I have the timers set so they are lit during the night hours and off during the day.

I am not sure where the others will go yet or if I will give 1 as a gift.

The unit fits quite nicely in a bay window above my kitchen sink. My only difficulty is having to almost climb up on the sink to harvest the herbs growing on the back side, near the light arm, as they are more than an arm's length. The hum is not loud, the timers work well; I do find, of course, that as the plants mature, I have to add water every other day or so to keep it above the fill level.

I do want to get another unit, but I will get the independent stand to put it on, as I have no more room in the window. It will also make it easier to harvest from.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I got my first AeroGarden about 2 years ago. At the time, I was living in a condo. I'd considered the idea of growing potted herbs on my deck, but I have what other reviewers have called a "brown thumb". I just can't keep plants alive! Also, I live in New England, so growing herbs outdoors is only feasible a few months out of every year.

The AeroGarden is a godsend. It needs almost no care once you've planted your garden. Lights on the display blink to tell you when to add water (once every week or two) or the included nutrients (once every two weeks). The grow lights are on a timer, and it doesn't matter if you have the lights on during the night or during the day. I have the lights come on at night, so it's like having a night light in the kitchen (they're on top of my fridge).

Now I've moved into a house where we have plenty of land for an outdoor garden. Well, it's still New England, and I still can't keep plants alive. So I now own THREE AeroGardens! Two are on top of my fridge, and the third is on our enclosed porch where I can use it 3 seasons out of the year. I have the Gourmet Herbs growing in one and the Cherry Tomatoes in another other. The third is at the end of it's harvest, and I'll bure using the Master Gardener kit to plant cilantro and some other herbs.

There are a few things about the AeroGarden that could use improvement, but they're easily dealt with...

If your pump stops working, but your lights still come on, you probably need to clean the pump. This is not difficult, per se, but it is a bit of a pain...especially if you have full plant growth when the pump stops. If you take the time to clean it pro-actively between plantings, you'll save yourself a lot of trouble. The instructions are on the web site under Support.

There's a little magnetic float that determines the water level. Sometimes this gets flooded, so your add water light stays on even when it's full. Fill out the form on the AeroGarden web site and they'll send you a free replacement. It's pretty easy to change, and you can do it even while your garden's growing.

I'm not sure how people agree to the price...I mean these herbs (our first batch) don't exactly shoot up over night, in fact we were patient and had to wait a couple weeks to pick...I think we'd have been able to spend 1/4 as much and bring home potted herbs from the greenhouse, but that's where the Aero design shines...plant maintenance is 0. Well, not exactly 0, you do have to refill the water and nutrients occasionally.

So, as I described I'm on the fence. It has delivered as promised, but I think Aero's missing the point by plugging the speed of growth (4 out of 10) and not the maintainability (9 out of 10) of growth as their major strength.

This product is wonderful especially if you live in the city or in a cold climate, because if allows you to use it year around!! It is awesome because you always have herbs and veggies right there!! It is a product that does everything it says it does!! The only thing I could say negative is depending on the size of your house it is a little big for certain tables. But all in all it is awesome, I love it everyday and am glad I got it!!

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I'm new to gardening and this is my first AeroGarden. I've had it up and running for two weeks yesterday and it is behaving according to promises made about it by the company. I'm starting with mesclun mix and all the pods germinated within about two days. Now all the plants look like small whatever they are (mizuna or tatsoi, etc) and new baby leaves are already starting to grow so that I can see how one can harvest regularly and have a steady supply of salad. I guess the only downside, but unavoidable, is that one has to have multiple gardens to grow salad AND herbs AND tomatoes and all those gardens are going to take space. Anyway, I think it is a GREAT product and I'm glad I got it!

I purchased an AeroGarden. I ususally kill most plants I purchase, so I thought here I can have healthy plants and I can't kill them by over or under watering them or by giving them too little or too much sun. The AeroGarden signals when to add water and when to add nutients and gives the correct amount of light. My plants sprouted, grew and look great. I am pleased.

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

My daughter, purchased the AeroGarden for
me as a Mother's Day present. My initial reaction was
-- oh my gosh, here is another thing that I have to put
together and figure out how to use -- so initially I
viewed the AeroGarden as "more work for me to do."
After it sat in the box for a few weeks, I took it out
and started the process. If the instructions were
followed to the letter, assembly was quite easy. It
was interesting to hear the water gurgling as the
"growth" process began. However, I am still somewhat
apprehensive as to how the daily 16 hours of power
usage is going to affect my electricity bill,
especially in today's energy crisis and our need to
invest in alternative energy methods. After killing a
couple of tiny red things crawling on the surface
during the first week, I have not noticed any other
invading insects. As the tiny buds from the six herbs
began to appear, the anticipation of a bountiful
harvest began to swell within me. It has been six or
seven weeks now. The parsley enhanced the flavor to
fresh salads and even made Prego Spaghetti sauce taste
better. The thyme, chives and dill were added to
different recipes and the mint made a nice cup of tea
on a Sunday afternoon. The herbs are still growing
(especially the parsley) and they are being eagerly
snipped and consumed. Maintenance has been low thus
far since this is the first time it has been used --
you just add water and nutrients as indicated on the
panel.

In a nutshell, the AeroGarden was a very nice Mother's
Day present and in the words of Mikey -- "I like it!"

I am growing cherry tomatoes and have never seen anything grow so fast. I have had to raise the grow lights twice in just a couple of weeks and my plants are flourishing and starting to blossom. I am guessing I'll have tomatoes very soon and what a thrill that will be. We are unable to grow much outdoors because deer eat anything tasty. Then there is dirt and outdoor insects to deal with. This aero garden is so clean, it is in the comfort of my airconditioned home, the plants are healthy, beautiful, clean and rapid growing. What could be better?

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

I own four Classic Aerogardens in white, and they are mounted on two of the original, tubular wall gardens (which I have to say were better looking than the current models). In the past year and a half, I have grown all sorts of herbs, peppers, lettuces, strawberries, and tomatoes, and while I love the novelty of the Aerogarden and the fact that they are great conversation starters, I think their actual usefulness is limited.

In my opinion, they are best utilized as kitchen herb gardens, though not all the seed packages offered by Aerogrow work as well as others. Basil is clearly the best performer. A single Aerogarden can serve a family of two with an overabundance of fresh herbs all year around. A single Aerogarden of lettuce or tomatoes, however, is inadequate to generate the amount of produce needed to make salads on a regular basis. Generally, I can get one good-sized salad for two people every other week from them.

Aerogardens might also be best utilized as seedling starters for outdoor gardens. I transplanted two mature cherry tomato plants from my Aerogardens into my community garden plot this year, and they are thriving! Outside, the plants produce much more than they do inside.

Given all this, I'd have to say that Aerogardens are not a good choice if you desire self-sufficiency or sustainability (they do require a lot of energy to operate constantly and do not produce enough in return), but if what you want is a source of entertainment for yourself or education for your children or students, or even something simply ornamental, the Aerogarden is for you!

Why buy an aquarium when you can have an Aerogarden? After all, most aquarium owners don't get to eat their fish, but Aerogardeners definitely can eat what grows in their "aeroquariums!"

Comments about AeroGrow Herb Lovers Special:

This product is the savior of gardeners that can no longer garden outside for a variety of reasons. I am trying growing tomatoes and green beans in the same Aero Garden; with limited success. I figured that I would try it. I had better luck growing only one crop at a time; however lettuce with no tomatoes doesn't make a lot of sense. Next time, I will go back to the way it is designed to work. Perhaps someone at Aero Garden can develop a multi-crop system.

AeroGrow Response: Due to the nature of the size and light requirements of tomato plants, we do not recommend mixing and matching vegetable plants in your AeroGarden.

Three weeks before I recieved my Aerogarden, I planted a garden outside with the same herbs that came with my Aerogarden. My garden outside started coming up a couple of days before I received my Areogarden. The herbs in my Areogarden have been harvested three times. The herbs in my outside garden are struggling to survive. I highly recommend Aerogarden to anyone who lives in the desert!

The aerogarden is perfect for people who don't have a green thumb. My plants are beautiful and very productive. I have grown everything from peppers to herbs to salad greens to strawberries. All were huge successes. Before the aerogarden I could never get plants to grow in pots in my kitchen or during the short AK growing season outdoors. They are easy to use and take up very little space. My herb gardens produce so well that I have to give away herbs.

I did have some problems with the connections on the growing arm getting corroded.

I have never owned something so easy, and so productive and maintenance free. The aero garden is the gift that keeps on giving. Want to have home grown fresh herbs or vegetables year round. Don’t have a green thumb or time to tend to a garden? Live in Arizona, like me, where the heat makes it almost impossible to grow anything from June to September. Then the aero garden is perfect for you. I started my Classic garden in May and I love it so much I just purchased another, the Aero garden Pro 200.

I bought my aero garden febuary 17 2008 and I love it. The whole thing was so easy to setup in my small apartment and the herb kit that came with it grew very fast the best thing about the itilian basil and the purple basil is that as it grew and got too large for the aero garden. I cut it back and put it into a clear glass and it rooted and kept growing like crazy. I have a bay window and the basil loves that spot. I have basile plants almost two and a half feet tall and the leaves are very large. I had so many basil plants in clear glasses I starting giving them to my family members and they were so impressed with how the aero garden performs they all want one now. I have unfiltered well water that provides lots of nutrients strait from the ground so this may not work for some people but it was worth every penny i paid for it can't wait to purchase another one.
